eCutout functions

eCutout is designed for automating material cutting plan design. The subject being cut out is rectangular sheet of materials and rectangular parts. The algorithm guarantees using only the through cuts in the cutting plans being generated. The technological settings and restrictions enforced in the optimization algorithm allow using the program for cutting sheets of veneer, glass, fibreboard, and other sheet materials that are cut out by the guillotine method.

This version of the program implements the following basic functions:

  • Creating and editing cutting task that includes unlimited number of parts.
  • Saving tasks and loading existing tasks.
  • Efficient automatic cutting plan design.
  • Manual cutting plan editing.
  • Printing cutting plans and the overall report.

Minimum requirements

In order to install and evaluate the program, you will need a computer with the following system features: Celeron-class CPU, 64Mb of RAM, free hard disk space of not less than 3Mb, Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP operating system.

The most loaded hardware resource is the CPU. Increasing the processor's clock will improve the "quality"/"cutting time" ratio.

Integration with third-party products

You can use the program along with third-party programs. To implement this feature, create an eCutout task file and then load it and work with it.

The task file is an XML document that contains data on the list of parts in the cutting and the cutting plans. The document format detailed description can be found on the web site.
